Can the page numbering macro be edited so that that the page numbering starts with "2" instead of "1"? Thanks for any help that is offered.

Hi.
Add the +1 to the correct line as shown here:
'Loop through the Pages and add the page numbering text For Each p In ActiveDocument.Pages p.Activate 'Replace '#' with current Page Number strLabelText = Replace(strPattern, "#", CStr(p.Index + 1)) '<<< (GDG) add the +1 to this line as shown 'Replace '*' with current Total Pages strLabelText = Replace(strLabelText, "*", CStr(numPages)) Set pageBBox = p.BoundingBox strPlacement = cboAlign.Text If ActiveDocument.FacingPages Then bOddPageNum = (p.Index And 1) <> 0

Thank you for a prompt response. Your answer will be a big help. I have another question concerning the "+1" addition to the line you indicated. I hope I explain this correctly. If I have file that is numbered from pages 2 thru (say) 25 and had another file that I wanted to start numbering 26 thru 40. In the file that I want to start numbering at page 26, I am thinking that by adding + 25 in the line you indicated, cause the page numbering to begin at 26. Is my thinking concerning this correct?
