Re: CorelDraw X5 v 15.2.0.686 [SP3] + Windows 7 x64
After applying SP3 Draw X5's 'Edit bitmap' command is always greyed out, regardless of the bitmap selected — even when the originating file is a CPT.
At first I thought of a corrupted Workspace, so I reset Draw with F8 at execution. No dice. This makes me think there may be an odd Registry setting or ini file entry that Draw needs to 'find' Photo-Paint X5. Photo-Paint appears to have emerged from the update unscathed.
Very grateful for suggestions!

Try the X5 reset reg file in this link:

Thank you so much, Jeff — 'forceppX5.reg' did the trick!
All good wishes,

Glad it worked for you. Some of us hoped Corel would release a utility to solve this common problem. After a decade, some power users like myself stopped waiting... :-)
I think Gabor made a fix for X4, then others dug through the parameters he'd found, and did the equivalent for other recent versions of Draw..
We were sad to see so many users struggle with this, to the point where some reinstall the entire suite just to re-link draw and PP. Total overkill.
Jeff,
How about the same fix for X6?
