OK what gives here with Corel's so-call Pen Tool. First there's almost NOTHING out there in terms of tutorials etc. Plenty about the Bezier tool but truly hardly anything about the Pen Tool
How on earth do you change the node's direction? This is SO frustrating! I just wanna control this *** but I can't. In Adobe PS it's simple, just hit ALT and you're back to 0 angle. In Corel I read somewhere that you double click the last node......yeah that ends it alright but when you go back to continue at a different angle it goes back to the same angle all over again so it's literally useless.
Please tell me someone what am I doing wrong here.
Thanks
Hit the 'c' key and you change last node to Cusp. 's' will change to smooth and symmetrical (toogle).To get a straight line after drawing a curve: Hold Alt while clicking the last node, or click without dragging and the next segment will be a line.
Hope this makes sense. Play with it and I think you'll get it pretty quick.
Did you even look at the help text?
The pen tool (and all the drawing tools fwiw) works so much better than Adobe Photoshop's. Not the same, better. But you have to get used to it.
@silvershoes
No, the help files don't give you a fully comprehensible analysis of each tool. They almost always seem to steer you off and towards the Bezier tool.
Sure, the AB and C of how you can trace around an objective, but nothing about changing nodes directions and properties etc.
And by the way, for the amount of time it took you to write your condescending reply, you could have just answered the question as 'Ronny' has (thanks mate).
I wouldn't have bothered asking the forum if I hadn't done ANY research first.
Ronny, you're a legend mate!! thank you.
