drawing tablet

Can you recommend a drawing tablet that is compatible with CorelDRAW X5.   I have been looking at the Wacom Bamboo but don't know too much about them.

Thanks

  • In short, don’t buy anything but a Wacom. They are the best by far. The Bamboo is their lower-end (and lower-priced) line. I wrote a blog about them last fall.

Just this week they refreshed the Intuos line (the high-end and higher-priced tablets) and I will write about them in the near future.

    • Wacom. the best there is.

I own a Wacom Graphire and a Wacom Intuos as well as a generic pen & tablet. You can get updates to the tablet driver(s), spare and replacement parts, from Wacom. The others are next to impossible, if not downright improbable, to find replacement parts.

The size of tablet is usually based upon personal preference. I have both, small and medium, size tablets, and I like the medium over the small. There are many people out there (and even here on the forums) that prefer a small tablet over any other size.

      • As has been suggested above, go with Wacom

        I currently use an Intuos4 Medium (6" x 9"), doesn't take up a lot of space.

If you can afford an Intuos4, then I would suggest getting it in preference to the Bamboo. IMHO
