Hi, I've go a very important question:
I tried to install Graphics Suite X5. After the installation I wanted to launch Corel Draw X5, but I got the Error 126 with Coreldrw.dll Problem :( (but the .dll is there.... ). but the problem exists only with Corel Draw. All other Programms of the Graphics Suite are running....
I installed-reinstalled 8 times....NOTHING
Oh, I forgot, that I tried to install it on a Win7 starter Edition Netbook.
I cleared my registry, reinstalled Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable x86, replaced the Coreldrw.dll
Nothing helped, and I need the netbook with working Corel Draw next week
Try the following:
Press and hold down the F8 key and start DRAW, when it asks you if you want to reset the workspace to factory defaults, answer "Yes".
If that works or not, let us know. The problem may lie elsewhere and we can help pursue it.
I tried..... and it's the same.
Error 126, unable to load Coreldrw.dll
Hello Caro: If the F8 didn't work try putting the Corel DVD in and do a "Repair". Are you sure you have a legal disk?
My Thoughts George
Hi Georg,
yes, I have a legal disc. The same version of Corel Draw runs on my PC without problems..... but it's a XP-machine. Because of this fact, I think, the problem is the Windows 7 Starter :(((((
And yes, I tried 'repair'.....
Is your Windows all up to date with patches and Service Pack 1?
Caro like Hugh said make SURE you have all the Windows up dates and did you try the repair?
George
You could be right about Windows 7 Starter. I found this listing of the various Win7 versions on the Microsoft site:
A lot of that stuff isn't going to matter, but some of it might. Apparently it does have a Service Pack 1, so it's worth checking to make sure you have it.
