Hello,
Hopefully my picture displays properly so I explain my question better. I have a template made which is basically 14 boxes. In each box gets 1 name. The names are all different lengths but the font size is the same. Since there is 100's of names and I don't want to individually center center each name in the box, is there any way to set it up so I can just drag each name to each box and it will automatically center it?
keep in mind I have little experience working with Corel products. if it makes a difference on 1 computer I am running an old Corel 9 from 1999 i think but on another computer I have access to Corel X5 suite.
any input would be appreciated,
thanks
I am assuming you are inserting the names manually, so....

I wrote a macro based on finding named objects and centering them to a specific box.
Find "n1" & align center of "box1" then fid "n2" and align center of "box2".
Still not gonna help with squishing the text to fit the boxes after aligning them all though.
okay to insert names into predetermined squares yet keeping the text size all the same.
using a macro as described above.
Instead of using artistic or paragraph text for the name use the envelope tool on them deleting the center nodes and converting the curved lines To Line. Size them to fit the box as needed. Duplicate the name several times going down like a paragraph but not really. Now with the text tool select one line at a time and type the name, go to next name line and type next name. Once you get your list done hit the macro and it will place them accordingly to the boxes in your template.
never mind that really isn't going to work either. 1in text size isn't really the same when you have descenders. "Joe" is much different that "Angie" . Using all caps would work though.
