"image resolution below 96 dpi"

The Preflight tab in the Print dialogue often says "Image resolution below 96 dpi" when the Object Properties panel shows all the images to be well over  96 dpi. I just checked this by making a new doc with one image. What's the story?

Thanks,

I think you can ignore (disable) this warning. Have seen it myself, also at times where all bitmaps were more than 96 dpi.

I believe it happens when you import an image, say from a digital camera. A fair guess is it comes in as a huge picture with a resolution of 72 dpi.
So you resize it to fit your needs but since Draw doesn't really change the number of pixels when resizing (that's a good thing)
The resolution will be 144 dpi if you scale it down to 50% for example.
144 dpi is obviously more than 96 dpi but I suspect the preflight check still sees the original dpi setting of 72, and sends out a warning.

This is a guess but I'm pretty sure this is what is happening.
A bit strange though because in other cases Draw seems to completely ignore the dpi information in an imported image.
