I am very new to using programs like Coreldraw. I have been trying to make things without really knowing what I am doing.
I want to use one of the frames from the EXtra content (oval04.cpt) and place a photo inside the frame. Have tried Powerclip but I get an error message that the objects are invalid.
How do I accomplish this?

Try this:
Import the photo (not the oval.cpt file, but the actual) into Corel Draw.
Select the Transparency tool and then select Bitmap Pattern as the transparency type
In the bitmap file drop down, click Other... (Bottom thumbnails) ans navigate to and select the oval04.cpt file.
Now you can move the mask around to edit the effect to your liking.
Once you're happy, you can export the picture from Corel Draw in any format you choose.
