Thickening Vector Lines

I'm completely new to both Corel and vector images, so please excuse me if my question is nonsensical...

I imported a vector pattern that I plan to use as a frame from a PDF file as lines, but the lines are very thin, and I would like to make them thicker, but I'm at a loss as to how. I googled around a bit, and the outline tool came up, but no matter what I do, changing the thickness there doesn't affect anything, be the objects selected or not. Can anyone help me with this? I'm using CorelDRAW x5.

  • Are you increasing the dimensions of the imported graphic? Could be the outlines are not set to scale with the graphic. Import the graphic then double-click on the outline color icon located at the bottom right of the screen. Click on "Scale with object", hit ok then resize as needed.
