hi guys , how do I get .wi filter to work in X6....................
@ Foster,
Wavelet Compressed Bitmap (WI)
This file format is not supported by the 64-bit version of the suite.
Above from the " Help " files , so should I want to import , .wi (WI ) ,I`d have to do this on 32 bit version . Whats wrong with corel , why not add this for loyal users ?
There are lots of really good photos , and they came with many versions of Corel . Ok ,must have read it wrong and was not one of theirs , but worhty of having if you`ve paid for them as part of the package ......
This is what I had read at the time :

I’m guessing the amount of effort involved (expense to Corel) greatly outweighed the benefit from those wanting to use the format. Or let me put it another way, you’re the first person to even notice it wasn’t supported. There just isn’t much demand for it.

Again, you can batch convert them if they are important to you. In those days the photos supplied were pretty low resolution so I personally don’t find them very useful and thus the reason I didn’t have any for testing.
I have found that it does support .wi import.
It is not just the case of liking old photos,as many are very good. WI was a higher format than .jpeg was. Good to experiment with and design .
However , should someone else have the older versions , they can find the info in the HELP menu :
