First post for me.
Well, I've had Corel Photo Paint X6 for several years. Old versions had lines, where you could have arrows on one end. This version doesn't apparently.
I do a lot of graphics where I need to draw in an arrow pointing to something in the picture, and I'm getting tired of manually creating them.
Hello Ricebug; there is a setting in the Setup that will let you set it the way you want.

Ricebug, Create a generic arrow then hit the letter i. in the drop down of choices choose new spraylist then add it to the spraylist. Whenever you need an arrow just hit i and paint it once.
you could also create an arrow and export it as an eps to your hard drive. Then record a macro that simply imports that file. Then assign a shortcut to that macro. I did this to quickly add our company logo to my designs when I need it..
Something to ponder....
Don't use PhotoPaint, use CorelDraw for that intended use. CorelDraw is better suited for adding arrows, diagrams and text to graphic designs.
PhotoPaint has a preset "Arrow head" in its list of nibs, but it would be better to just create a new one. Also, designing fancy Arrows in CorelDraw, then drag and dropping into PhotoPaint for effects works well.
Adding arrow heads to lines is the same in X7 as in earlier versions. Select the arrow head using the Object Properties docker.
I should have mentioned that I'm using the Home & Student X6 edition. I don't have any "Object Properties" docker. Let me check the Corel Draw vector-based proggie that shipped with Photo Paint and see if it has arrows.
I've used PSP and Photoshop for many, many years. Not as a pro, but for casual use.
Looks like a good forum. Thanks for all the help!
EDIT: I found everything Roy suggested under the Corel Draw vector proggie. So, I'm good. Again, thanks!
My apologies, my answer was for CorelDRAW
Here's a tip for making arrows quickly in PhotoPaint. You need an Arrows font installed on Windows. There are loads of free ones that you can download, but here's a link to Arrows TFB which has a good selection of different arrows: www.dafont.com/arrows-tfb.font
Fonts remain as vector objects in PhotoPaint, so you can scale or rotate them as you want and they will always retain their quality.
yeah, maybe I should read these a little more carefully. Thought we were talking about draw not photopaint.
