Sorry, but I can´t remember how to apply objects to a winding path, with regular intervals?
Hey Silvio,
Use new path.
Cheers,
Chris
Edit... you would have to use blend then break it all apart
Hello Chris
Something weird is going on here with this function because I am not able to apply the objects to path. I can not tell if I'm doing something wrong or feature has a problem. Please tell me, step by step, how to proceed because my several attempts were unsuccessful. This is driving me crazy.

I just tried and I am also unable to apply a group of existing objects to a path.
I can only do so on a blend group.
Btw, if I choose the Blend tool from the Effect menu, there will be an "Apply" button in the docker to apply the blend.
BUut if I choose the Blend tool from the Toolbar, how do I apply the blend? I type in the number of steps, then? Or must I choose one of the presets to begin with?

A group of objects is only one object whe you try to align or other actions. You must ungroup it before to fit to a path

Yes, but it's different than the original question, since Blend creates new objects, not align several objects

I mean a group of objects not an object group.
Just like your initial reply to Silvio, a few objects of circle, triangles, squares, stars, etc.
When I select them and want to distribute them along a path, I can't.

To evenly space a series of objects along a path in X6, you can't.
My example was using circles because Silvio had circles in his diagram so I fudged it using Blend along a path.
Hi.
Using Alex's macro is best but one alternative is to paste items into text. Unfortunately this changes size to fit into the text. A macro would do this nicely however I have yet to try. The macro would have to take into account the objects size height, paste the item into the text, and with the convert unit method adjust the point size of the pasted character accordingly. Then you can use it with the fit text to path and you get all the bells and whistles that offers. Sounds like a great idea. Maybe I will try tonight.

Workaround, till someone point a solution:
1. I dragged objects manualy to path axis.
2. Selected all objects and applied "Align and distribute...".
Edit: This action is possible because the path has "almost linear" shape, without making curve of return (e.g .: circular path). If so, it would be impossible to use such workaround.
Can you paste vector objects into text?
The macro will work but I am getting the objects turned to raster when I paste into text?
I thought I remember pasting a vector object into text before. Hmm.
Anyone?

Seems to work okay in Photo-Paint which is where I've used that trick before. I don't remember ever trying it in Draw before, but it doesn't look like it behaves the same way to me.

Yea. I thought I did it before but I guess not. Maybe an older version of Draw handled it better.
Funny, once you paste in a character you can't even break apart the text with Ctrl + K, or weld it.
I've been using a "paste at nodes" macro to place objects evenly along a curve. Note that you have to space your nodes evenly, so first I use another macro for that. Even though it's a two step process, it's still faster than manually placing the objects.
The paste at node macro was created by Shelby, updated by Joe (on the oberon forums) and myself.
The macro to add nodes is an old Isocalc.com macro called, CurveDivider. I've been using CurveDivider since version CD version 9 and it still works fine in CDGS X6!.
I'll post a video later to show you how it works...if my power stays on!
