CorelDraw 16 and Windows 8.1

Just upgraded the computer and OS to 8.1 and installed CorelDraw 16, but I can't read the menus. The text is white on black and very fuzzy. Also, some of the ME fonts are rectangles? Also, how does one link the file so that you can share it with the readers on the forum?

  • Hello djh; To post a file here you have to select the rich formatting as in the screen shot below. It does have to to be a small file. What you are seeing is probably controlled by the way you have things setup.

  • To paste an image in a reply here, you first need to go to "use rich formatting" and then look for the "insert media" icon.

But the problem is likely to be that X6 is not "intended" to be used in windows 8. X7 is the only version that claims windows 8 support.

That said, many others here are using X7 in windows 8 -- posssibly by right clicking on the coreldrw.exe and corelPP.exe files and selecting windows 7 compatibility mode. I'm sure a windows 8 user could give better instructions.
