I have an image inside PowerClip. Every time I move the image a bit and stop editing the contents I notice that the earlier PowerClip area has left marks in the image. Actually it has cut a 1 pix line permanently on it.
I'm not sure if this happens only when editing PowerClips originally made with X5-version.
A bit annoying problem anyway. It basically destroyed all the images I used in a project...
Shouldn't happen. The PowerClip doesn't alter the clip object in any way. Please post a file including a PowerClip where this has happened.
Hmm... The problem seems to continue. I thought earlier maybe there was just some technical issue with this particular file.
Today I started a completely new project with X6 and PowerClip cut holes again in the image. This only seems to accur if I remove the background of the image in Photopaint first and the put it in powerclip. Everytime I move image inside the powerpclip and close it, it seems to create new permanent damage. If I have a normal image it's not damaging the image.
...I've been using all the CorelDraw versions since '92. Kinda sad that this the first time I have to move to Adobe products - at least until I get this figured out.
(PS. How do you share cdr-files here? It seems not to be accepting cdr/zip-files)
I think I located the problem:
The photo gets damaged if I use "Convert to bitmap" for the image inside the powerclip. (I use it often to change the resolution).
EDIT: So it doesn't matter if the backround is removed or not - it's only about this "Convert to bitmap" thingy. (Sorry HarryLondon I just noticed this!)

Workaround is easy; Don't convert to bitmap while editing. :-)You can use Resample... from the Bitmap menu instead. Then it won't pickup the frame.
It's a big relief to find out what was causing this and how to avoid it... The PowerClip tool changed quite a bit for X6 so I'm not surprised if there was some bugs. Case closed - hope they'll fix this at some point!

Yep, at some point I think I should sit down and write a list of some annoying features - Some of 'em might even be bugs. After using Corel actively 12 hours a day for 12 years you notice some (little) issues there... There has been couple of problems with several tools during the years. Some of them a fixed, and some... I'm not sure yet.
Btw, reason why I don't use RESAMPLE to avoid this problem is that if I import a photo to Draw and maybe flip it and change sizes - and then deside to edit it in Paint: It seems to forget my flippings and sizes (at least at X5 or older). So "Convert to bitmap" always made sure that the picture measures stay the same even if u use edit with paint.
