I'm working on a complex document with a lot of text. It was first created with X5. When I opened it in X6, there was a bar near the top that asked to "update" the fonts. I indicated "yes". I worked on the document for about 4 hours, and then saved it and exited CorelDraw. Today when I first opened the document, the fonts are corrupted - capital letters where lowercase should be, spacing is random - some characters on top of others and some too far apart. I closed the document, re-booted my computer and reloaded the document. Now the there is still corruption, but it's different - different letters are capitalized and there are different spacing problems.
What can I do to fix this??

Follow Up: It appears that this problem occurs only with SmallCaps.
by chance do you also have problems with the font Times new Roman? by chance does it also have a problem with normal vs bold vs italic?
The problem I'm having is with "Swiss 721 BlkCn BT". BOLD seems to be OK, but Small Caps doesn't.
Hello Bert Sirkin; If you are using OTF font's try using TTF. It's just a guess but I have had trouble with the Open Types. Once you get it where you want it you could make a copy of the file and convert it to curves, that file wont be editable but you will be able to send or print it with it looking the same.
My Thoughts George......Good Luck
That is a TrueType font.
Boy Bert that is odd, do you think you may need to reset Corel with the F8 being held down while starting Corel? Keep in mind that it will reset your work space.
George
Apparently it's a bug in X6/64-bit. I did some more searching and found this post, which is basically the same thing that I'm finding: https://coreldraw.com/forums/p/32535/153121.aspx
I wish Corel would do some serious QA before they release code!
Bert; I'm running a i5 with Windows 64 bit and CorelDraw 6.1, and have not had a problem at all since I got rid of the OT fonts.
If you email me a file I'll see what happens here.
George ( george@vasigns.net ) Wish you LUCK
Here's what it looks like with a TT and OT font:
you can download this file from here: http://www.Photobert.com/temp/fontProblem.zip
Bert the file opened OK and there wasn't a problem with the text. A PNG of the file below.
I didn't see a problem with the file I opened in X6.1. You might want to check the video drivers, and or the F8 reset.
