Of course it's possible. Exactly the same or even better. Unfortunately, it's not a real 3D, only a simulation, but it's the same situation of the other programs. I hope we can have a real 3D program soon
Of course, it's not "just a simple extrude", you need to ellaborate it a little, break apart and add fountain fills, flares, shades, etc but it takes only a few minutes. The only part I doubt it about the "real 3D" feature, as far according the sample it seems just a rotation, a real 3D means to show the back side, top and bottom when you rotate the image. But all that you can see on thsi image, box, letters and background, can be done on CorelDRAW exactly with the same results as Photoshop.
Honestly, Photoshop has one advantadge: you can create a layer and warp it along the box, so if you need to change the cover, just replace the content of this layer. That's the reason why some people buy pre-designed box, and you only need to replace one layer.

And you can do pretty much the same thing in CorelDraw using an envelope for the cover.
