When I export to pdf I don't have any of the options that I have had in previous versions. I can only export a single page, no ability to do full document, alter color settings or quality or anything else. Does anyone know how I can get these export options?
Thanks!
Hello, I'm not the OP, but....... I just found this topic through the forum.... this is the exact question i needed to ask.
And then I see it ended at Tony asking this question...... "Did you buy the full version or do you have the slimmer Home & Student version"?
Well, I do have the Home & Student Version. But i specifically called and asked what the difference was before purchasing. I even spent hours and hours trying to find the difference online and nothing ever said anything about the SETTINGS not being visible when publishing to PDF with this version. What am I missing here? (besides the settings button. I really need to make crop marks and bleeds) BTW, these are personal invitations I am submitting to the printers. Not commercial. Thanks.
I also got duped: no macros, no advanced functionality (like pdf settings), etc.
There is an educational version that offers the full functionality but only a license for 1 PC. My Home & Student edition is for 3 PCs but missing functionality. I have not yet found an exhaustive list of all the missing features. The help does mention:
"Some features described in this Help are available only in CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6, and are not included in CorelDRAW Home & Student Suite 2014. Visit www.corel.com/coreldraw for more information about CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6."
Next time I will buy the educational version (it was only a few euros more expensive and only has one license) but should have all the features.
The never-ending game of features for price and asking more from companies that individuals. Corel also needs to make money while ensuring a large user-base. It's a difficult balancing act.
Even without the macros I'm enjoying the ride.

The official H&S comparison for X6 is behind this image:
It is still quite vague, but you can sum it up by assuming that it lacks everything that's more likely to be needed by commercial users than most home and student users.
Considering the special price, the restrictions are totally reasonable, but they are not clearly disclosed by the companies that sell them. Some sellers are more honest than others, and Amazon currently states "This product is not currently offered by Amazon.co.uk because a customer recently told us that the item he or she received was not as described." after a customer review pointed out the undisclosed limtations.
Thank you for the overview - it is correct. It would be nice if the list of missing "Pro-features" would be included. As a programmer student, the lack of macro support in the H-S edition is definitely a disadvantage. The price is definitely within the ballpark.
It is only after experimenting with the H-S edition that you notice somethings are missing :)
I think one of the problems is that there is no trial version of Home and Student. People are having to trial the full version and then guess whether H&S would meet their needs. They cannot actually check it properly to be sure that it meets their needs.
