Cannot install updates.

Hi,

i'm working on X6 (16.1.0.843) with Windows 8 64bit in background. However when i want to isntall v.2 update i get information: "cannot install update; access denied" (my rough translation, i have polish version). Also i have standart membership and administration rights on PC. I tried to download manually updates and install them than, but with same result. What i can do to install last two updates? (v.2 and hotfix v.2)

  • Make sure to remain signed-in to CorelDRAW and that you actually have either a Standard or Premium Membership (you can see your status in the lower right corner of the app, the icon should be green). Close CorelDRAW while staying signed-in. Try installing it again.

    You need at least a free Standard Membership in order to install the X6.2 update.

    If this doesn't help, can you post a screenshot?

    • Unfortunetly it didn't help. I will paste screenshots, however thay are in polish. Those are two screenshots, when i was installing update step-by-step of your solution - no success :/
      • Your serial probably isnt legit nor your copy of X6?  Good luck.

        • Unfortunetly you are wrong, its fresh X6 copy  3pc edition. Bought 1-2weeks ago via official resseler.

          There was no problem with registration that serial. Also i'm all the time logged to online service (green miniature in bottom right corner)

              • Based on the screenshot, I would recommend a few different things. 

                First, make sure to stay logged into CorelDRAW, and make sure all the other apps are closed. Now go to Help > Check for updates... And start the process of checking. At that point (and before the installer actually starts), make sure to Close CorelDRAW (but remain logged in). We do not allow for the patch to be installed while the application is running as it would cause strange behaviours. Looking at your screenshot, the app and the installer are running at the same time.

                If that doesn't help, can you provide more informations about your operating system and the background apps you have (especially anti-virus). 

                Finally, can you contact me per email / direct message. I will reply back with my Corel email so that you can send me your account details and serial number, and I will do some further investigating into your membership / Corel.com account.
