Hi all, I'm looking for a kind Coreldraw user who can convert supplied illustrator .eps files into usable DWG files.
I'm an illustrator user and the two do not play well together (AI & DWG) - splines do not always convert as splines. Especially so, when Sketchup is involved in the mix!
From what I've read on-line, Coreldraw will play nicely with all three. As I currently cannot afford more software I am looking for someone to work with to aid in this process. If after initial testing we find a good working practice I am happy to discuss remuneration on a per file basis.
Hope this makes sense and someone can help! I have attached a zip file as an example
TIA, Neil.
Hello Neil; When WinZip opened the file there was nothing there. If you email the file I'll convert this one for you.

Niel,
Try attached dxf.
I had to open your eps in AI, set up an outline then export as eps file, then import to CorelDraw X5 and export as DXF ver 2000.
Mek
Hi Mek, thank you very much for your response.
When I import the file into Sketchup, this is the result (below). As you can tell, this is not what I am looking to achieve. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Neil; If you are having problems with the file Mek posted and I sent you it maybe time to look at a update for the Sketchup you have. ( Most newer programs will take more than one type of file.) The Screen shot is of the DWG Mek posted.
My Thoughts George
Hi George, again thanks for your input.
I'm currently using the latest version of Sketchup available. I've since found an illustrator plugin that will export DWGs as workable files in Sketchup.
Cheers
I'm glad you got a work around.
George
