Hi there! I'm having a problem re-installing my Corel X6. I have X5 installed on my computer (I like to keep it available for a backup to X6) and because I was having some issues with X6 lately I decided to uninstall and re-install to see if it fixed the problem. Uninstall seems to go fine. But when I'm about 40% into the reinstall a message comes up saying that I have a newer version installed on my computer and if I want to install this version (X6) I have to uninstall the newer version first! What? Note, when I uninstalled X6 I checked the "uninstall all user files" to be sure that it got everything. I have installed all of the updates as well as the resent hotfix. Something is hanging up my re-install. I looked in my program files and there are some folders in the Corel X6 file. Should I delete them? Will that help? I'm at a loss as to what to do. Any help would be much appreciated. I'm running Windows XP 32 bit.
I can't and won't vouch for this video, but it may help you. There used to be a link somewhere with step by step instructions, I will look tomorrow.

Hi,
Make sure you uninstall Corel Graphics - Windows Shell Extension too before reinstalling again. See attachment for reference.
