Does anyone know if there is a free plug in for CorelDraw X6 that will enable you to send things from CorelDraw directly to the Vinyl Express cutters from Signwarehouse?
Robbie: You should search your CoCut installation software (or search your older CorelDRAW folders in the Program Files directory) for the CoCut macro and copy that macro over to your ...\Draw\GMS directory. Once there, you can assign a icon to that macro, and place the icon on any toolbar that you like.
I have carried forward the CoCut macro from earlier installations and this is how I utilize cutting "directly" out of CorelDRAW.
Msg me, if you can not find that macro or if you have problems running it with DRAW X6.
Charlotte60: I am not familiar with the differences between the Pro and the Standard. I have been using the Pro version only.
I do know that there are some changes that I can make to my design, in CoCut, with the Pro version, and I do not have to return to DRAW to make the changes and then back again to CoCut.
I looked over the main Corel web site and I can not longer find the offering of the sale of this product. Corel may have discontinued carrying this product for retail.
I do not know what part of the planet you reside in, but if I knew, I could probably recommend a retailer of this product to you.
Hugh: Thank you for getting back to me. I live in Jarrettsville, Maryland.
If there is anyone that is familiar with Cocut I would appreciate some feedback on the differences between Standard and Professional, as I have mentioned I am very new to the vinyl cutting world and would like to know what things I would be able to do in Professional that I would not be able to do in Standard. I have just spent a ton of money on cutters, vinyls, software programs, etc., and do not want to spend the additional $300 for the professional version if it is just a lot of bells and whistles that I would never use. But if there are things that will make my life easier that I need, that would make a difference. Thanking everyone in advance for their input, as I would like to proceed with purchasing the program. Any and all opinions are welcome.
Hello Hugh, I've already tried that. The .gms file was copied from the CorelDraw x5 GMS folder and placed in the GMS folder of x6 then I went to options and located it and placed a shortcut to it on my toolbar as I had done in x5. It does not work. I emailed CoCut support and was informed that my version of CoCut (CoCut Profesional 4X4 is not supported in CorelDraw x6. I will have to upgrade.
Here is response from my email to CoCut...
Hi.
Take a look here.
http://www.cocut.com/index.dml
Then click on the Cocut Standard. See feature list.
Then go back one page, click on the Cocut Pro. See list of all features that are also added plus the standard features.
The biggest feature added to the Pro version would be the plot manager, for me at least. This allows you to runs many machines at once.
