CorelDraw X6 Version 16.3.0.1114 64Bit
OS: Windows 7 Professional 64x SP1
CPU: Pentium Dual-Core CPU E5200 @ 2.50GHz
GPU: ASUS GeForce 9800 GT - 512Mb
RAM: DDR2 Total Physical 6.00 GB Dual Channel
The problem is X6 is very very slow dealing with 7000 objects. While objects are grouped they move relatively fast (slow compared with windows XP), once I ungroup the 7000 objects X6 is moving slower and slower. Trying to move the 7000 objects selection is making CD X6 not respond.
The issue is that while this happens the CPU usage is only 50%, and while I look at the Resource Monitor it shows the process not responding with 50% CPU usage.
The biggest issue is that all systems at the office that run windows 7 64bit and CorelDraw x6 64bit suffer from this issue. Due to circumstances we had to change from windows XP 32bit to Windows 7 64bit and Corel Draw X6 and CorelDraw X5 move slower on the same PC.
Can anyone from Corel or not give me a solution to this problem?
Here https://app.box.com/s/sgty5kibi9feqgtbtzf4 you can find one file that I use from the thousands we have.
I need to mention that I have tried the following things
Starting the system in SafeMode
Resetting the environment (new installations suffer from the same symptoms)
Deleting everything in %TEMP% (new installations of OS has 0 files in temp)
Setting affinity to only one core
Running under administrator
Updated Video drivers
Updated system drivers
Updated CD to the latest fixes.
Please take in consideration the fact that the same files we use now on W7 x64 where used under windows xp 32bit also. I think the issue only affects win 7 x64 because we have a station that runs win 7 on 32bit and CD x5
What happens if you lower the the Undo levels (Options > General) to a very low value? Not sure this has anything to do with it but keeping track of 7,000 objects in several steps should take up at least some resources.

Nope , same issue. Reduced Undo levels to 5. Restarted. The issue is the same. Application not responding and 50% CPU usage. After 1 minute CD is responding again.
I'm trying your file, but even after ungrouping the objects I can select everything and move them in about two seconds, which doesn't seem unreasonable.
I'm also using X6.3+hf1 64 bit, win 7 prof -- main difference is that I have 16Gb ram.
I don't have the txt-normal font so am getting a substitution -- could that be relevant? Also, more than 6000 of those objects are overlapping in a tiny area right in the middle of the page, but I presume that is what you expect.

I am positive the font is not an issue. The PC of my coworkers sitting next to me does not have the font and the same slow thing happens on his station to.
Did you move the objects with the mouse from one place to another? try also moving the objects to the center of the page with the "P" shortcut for example. Or try centering the objects with "C" and "E"
Can you please give me your specs? maybe there is a hardware compatibility issue but I doubt that it could be on multiple stations the same hardware issue. My station is a custom build and my coworkers station is a HP Xw4600 Workstation.
I also have tried your file and get the same thing as Harry. Am able to move at will...within a second ..anywhere on the screen with mouse or keyboard...grouped or ungrouped. My undo levels are set at 20. My screen refresh rate is set at 60HZ . I do use a custom built HP-Z210 workstation with the ram maxed out at 32gig. The specs are in the bottom of my post.
