Hello, I have recived a text that needs to be printed in arabic language.
So I need to turn paragraph to read from Right to Left. Could som one please direct me to a tutorial or show where this function is hiden?. I've checked on web but can't seem to get this function in X6.
Thanks
I've never needed to do this myself, but here are the instructions from the help file:
http://product.corel.com/help/CorelDRAW/540240626/Main/EN/Doc/wwhelp/wwhimpl/js/html/wwhelp.htm?context=CorelDRAW_Help&topic=IDDH_DEFAULT_HELP_PAGE&single=
Perhaps very significant is the note: "The Text direction option is available, and visible, only when you use a Middle Eastern operating system or when language support is installed on a non- Middle Eastern operating system."
So I think you may need to look into getting Windows to work in Arabic first.
But as a possibly easier alternative, if you only have to incorporate a small amount of Arabic into a multinational document, would be to get a native Arabic speaker to create the text in a form that can be converted to curves and imported.
But I am sure there are others here who are doing Arabic work in a predominantly English environment that can explain how to set up Windows if you need to do that regularly.
Hello TKBM; Just a thought, could you mirror the text then change it to Arabic?
George
I work in Hebrew, which is also a right-to-left language, and Coreldraw is fully compatible with it.
Go to: Text > Paragraph Formatting, and set the Text direction to "Right to left".
Thanks to all for reply but...
I've managed to turn text around in word and then paste it into corel. Lucky me, corel keept text direction. I have allready sent to translation agency where they will check, if all is as it should be.
For future things, how do I get this text direction panel up?
This is my X5 and X6
