Hello
I am fairly new to Coreldraw X6. I just started working with a Wacom Bamboo Pen. I am following a tutorial I found on the net demonstrating sketching over an existing photo. The brush this person is using is not available in my version of Coreldraw. I have tried to create my own and have configured the pen tablet under the options tab.

No matter what brush I use, I cannot get this kind of effect. Every brush I use is too heavy. - even the ones I created. No matter what pressure I apply to the pen, I get the same heavy stroke Can someone explain? Is this a special brush or is this an adjustment I am missing?
It's probably best just to create a new one. In X6 I didn't see it there either under the Artistic category.
Try creating 3-4 ellipses ---on top of each other and staggered -- with varying degrees of black (grayscale) and save as a brush .
Kryan, have you adjusted your pressure settings in Corel?
Options/Workspace/Display (I think?) And have you lowered the stroke width on the Property bar?
Those should take care of your blobby lines.
btw, that brush he was using was available in older version of Corel....not sure if it's still available on the DVD in extras or not

Yes I did try that. I went to tools/options/display/ then pen tablet configure.
I was then prompted to make five strokes with varying pressure. I did that and clicked OK.
I have my stroke width at 0.03. I still get the same stroke no matter what pressure I apply to the pen.
When I zoom in and try to sketch over features like eyebrows, the strokes end up becoming one area of black. The result is no contrast or detail.
