Help with Background idea...

Hi~

I want to change the color of this background. Is there a way to create this in Corel so I can change the color to shades of purple? I've tried, but I know you all are talented at creating this kind of effect~

A quick and easy method: If the bitmap is open in CorelDraw, go to Bitmaps, then Edit Bitmap to open it in Photopaint (or open it direct in Photopaint). In Photopaint. go to Adjust, then Hue Saturation and Lightness. Experiment with the Hue slider to see if you can get the purple shades you want.

In CD directly, you can achieve this:

Takes two copies. Both converted to grayscale. Lower one is recolored to purple, which also colorizes the darker space. The second grayscale that sits on top of the colorized one is given a transparency, Uniform, Subtract and the transparency "drawn" from the upper right to lower left.

If you want to "Create" your own...PhotoPaint has a built in (as of x7 OR Premium member X6) a Lens Flare feature. The stars were done with Alien Skin's "Constellation"

If you have an earlier version of Corel, 2nd example a Purple Layer in "Hue" Mode in PhotoPaint

One can do it right in CorelDRAW. Select bitmap, press CTRL+SHIFT+U.
