When text has a color behind it, using the Marker text property, any following edits cause a white break in the background color. Was this known and does the issue also exist in versions beyond X6?
It's an odd sort of refresh issue. I think it has something to do with Nvivia, using 2 cards and SLI. It's a bit hard to pin down exactly and when I looked now SLI was off. Starting it with apps running crashed the system. Then with SLI definitely on it appears. And no amount of Control W helps. I think there is something not right about how CDX6 interacts with SLI over 2 graphics cards.
Surprisingly it does exist in a PDF when it is seen on screen.

Could you upload your CDR file ?

Even after deleting all but a few pages of text the file size is 45MB.
Must be a lot of junk that isn't removed from the file when pages are deleted.
And it is no smaller when collect for output is used and the file is zipped.

There are apparently 16 bitmaps of 5Mb each in that file, according to Document Properties.
If you expand the desktop layer in object layer you can see them, and if you right click on one and turn on object properties, you can see it has unlikely characteristics such as a resolution of 38003 x 62286 dpi.
I deleted them all, and now have a file of just 107Kb.

Anyway, back to the actual problem. Yes, now I can reproduce it in X6. For example, I changed a FLASH to FLOSH:
But if I open it in X7 -- then gaps are visible even before editing:
And so ... it looks as if both X6 and X7 have a problem with the text background colour setting.
