We are using Corel X6 sending PDF files to Ergosoft PosterPrint RIP software, and are having colour problems. We are new to signage and have a background in printing - so using CMYK is natural for us, but need to know also what is the best colour palette to use for signage.
Can someone also tell me the best settings for document and PDF please.
BTW we are also creating cutcontour and perfcutcontour lines for a Summa Cutter on the artwork (and note there is no Summa Cutter profiles in Corel). Neopost have suggested we use 100% magenta for cutcontour and 100% cyan for perfcutcontour. This means we can't export files converting colours to CYMK as we lose the cut lines.
PDF settings should start with the press settings and use native color, there is a 200" size limit with PDF. I uses Adobe RGB and a standard GRACOL cnyk profile.

Not strictly true. Getting it to RIP might be an issue with Adobe-based RIPs, though. But I think I recall that was fixed.

Only Illustrator Compatible with any digital front end I've tested which makes the larger size useless except for Illustrator. Which is why I never recommend it and in fact fired an employee that insisted upon using it.
Yea this kid was doing some kind of a weird thing screwing up the work flow so his ass had to go. I'm going to test some true PDF RIPs in the very near future so that will be a check in on that crap.
