Yes, this is normal mode . the duplicate method in quality view is a satisfying solution

It does look like display issue. Can you take a screenshot of your file layers in the Object manager docker? With all layers open.

For those who have not read the other thread, Rob asked how to get rid of the thin lines that show up between objects and I suggested to switch to Normal view mode.
This takes care of the unwanted anti-aliasing lines but also makes the lines a bit jaggy.

I also suggested to duplicate all objects temporarily, when converting to a bitmap for example.
This will minimize the unwanted thin lines also in Enhanced view mode.
