Hi -
Anyone know either of the following? -
1. How to colorize a B&W photo in Corel Photo-Paint, Version 7.0?
2. How to colorize a B&W photo in any decent, free or very inexpensive colorizing software program that's simple to use, such that it may even do it automatically for the user with very few, simple steps or processes?
For now, I want to colorize just 1 particular B&W photo, the following 1981 headshot of actress Christine Lahti from the Richard Dreyfuss drama movie "Whose Life Is It Anyway?" -
Is it even possible to somehow get a kind someone to colorize just this 1 particular photo for me, either for free or just a very small fee? So far I've already tried several "highly-recommended" free software programs on the 'Net, but have been frustrated so far because it seems that all of them are either too complicated to use (for advanced users rather than beginners) or all they seem to do is tint the photo slightly in a hue that's almost the same as either her facial skin or her hair color. I don't know what color her lipstick/lips are supposed to be, but at least I know that her eyes are supposed to be either hazel or brown.
Any help whatsoever would be very much appreciated - THANKS!
You might try @colorize_bot on Twitter
I've seen it do a decent job on B&W photos from WW2. I think you just post your pic and mention @colorize_bot and a few minutes later it replies with a colorized version.
Here she is with brown eyes.
I've also attached the CPT file (zipped) so you can play yourself.

I'm doing OK David. I hope you and yours are well too. Have fun with the Z9. I've stuck with my D500.
I was given an old DSLR and I didn't like it much but enjoyed dabbling in photography. I picked up a D3400 on sale which was an improvement but still an entry level ASP-C.
My granddaughter enjoys photography and I'm figuring that it can pass on when I do. I looked at used but here in the States the used market is awful. My 3 lens D3400 rig that I have cost $450 a couple years ago is closer to $1,300 used now. I looked at several used Nikons and a nice D850 was only $400 less than a new Z9. Of course the Z requires lenses, it's just ugly in this economy.
Have fun, post some 9f you photography you're the best photographer ever had on this forum.
Again, THANKS very much to everyone, esp. for the colorized pics. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to do anything with the ZIP file after extraction because apparently Corel Photo-Paint (Version 7) is the only program that deals with such a file type on my Dell PC, and when I try to open it in Corel P-P, it just says "invalid header". But the pic with the corrected eye color is pretty much all that I need now, and so THANKS very much again!
