Does this exist in Corel? I see Flexisign has this feature. Is there any other way then using print merge to do auto serialization? I currently run Corel X7
Thank you for any help :-)

There is also page numbering, which is simpler to set up but more limited.
What sort of numbering are you needing?
We make alot of tag signs at my work, with various tag numbers, including both letters and numbers. I see flexi sign has a feature called Auto Serialization that lets you use an excel document or txt file to easily create like 500 tag signs in a couple of clicks. This feature would save me hours of work. I know this is possible to do using preint merge, but alot more work, and there is always something that is not right.
If you are able using similar function in Flexisign then Print merge also would be easy for you to use in DRAW. Any specific reason, you don't want to use Print Merge ?

I do use print merge, but it is alot less easy to use then the function flexi sign has. But maybe I'm using it wrong. The way I use print merge is to print to PDF, cause print to new document makes a new page pr sign. Say I have 1000 signs, then if 1 or 2 of them has text that is too long and goes over the edges the text gets cut off, which is really annoying. I also prefer to have no space inbetween the signs. So if they are square some of the lines dissappear when I import them from the PDF, also the size of the signs themselves varies a little.
They way it works in Flexi sign is pretty much like Step and Repeat does, only it has the added option of serialization using numbers or from file much like print merge.
Is there a way with print merge to just get everything to appear in 1 page in a new document?
Print merge can save to a new file -- there is certainly no reason to make a PDF and re-import it.
But first, we need to sort out a way to handle the text which is "too long". Can you show a simple example of a design with too much text, and another showing how you would like it to look ?
Inside print merge is something called "Auto Incremental field". It allows you to define a field on the page that can start at one number and then run to another number. Once you preform the merge it will create a new page for each field entry.

but when you print merge to new file, I'm guessing that is Merge to New Document, it creates each "sign" as a new page in the document? I want all signs on the same page in the document. Is that possible?
I print this to a PDF cause then can go to layout and choose that I want for example 10x10 rows so I get 100 signs on one page. I think maybe its this process that would then remove text that might go outside the lines of the sign.
