Dear all Corel user,
I need help for coreldraw x7.
I found problem while create shortcut for change object size, I use alt+w as the shortcut key... but it doesn't work. Corel x5 no problem with it...
Hopefully,, some one can give me advise..
best regards,
sky
In English versions, Alt-W is also the default hotkey for the X7 Window menu. But I think keys assigned by customisation usually take precedence, so it probably should still work.
There is more than one size command, so to be sure we are all looking in the same place ...
Hi Harry,
Thanks for your reply... but what i do, is exatly same as what you show me..
below i show you what is the shortcut work, after Assign new short cut for "size" (corel x5) after I press shift+q
But corel x7 the shortcut not working.. this is one of the shortcut now working..
Can you help.. is it something wrong with corel x7?
OK, I wanted to be sure I was testing the same thing as you.
Those shortcut keys are stored in the workspace folder, which is %appdata%\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X7\Draw\Workspace in a file with a .cdws extension. I think if you go to that folder in windows explorer, you will be able to recognise the correct file -- it is named similar to your chosen workspace (default, classic etc).
I'm guessing that it is corrupted, but you might be able to restore a previous version. Close coreldraw and save a copy of the .cdws file. Then in windows explorer, right click on it and go to properties > previous versions. Select one from a recent date when you think it might have worked properly, and restore it.
After you testing the some thing as me,,, is it the shortcut working?
How do I fount %appdata%\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X7\Draw\Workspace?
drive c:... ? If I found .cdws extension file, what should I do with the file? What is the exatly file name?
Thanks A lot.

Setting shift-Q as shortcut to the command I highlighted brings up the transform docker, which is not the example you have shown a couple of posts back. And actually, it toggles the transform docker on and off, so you sometimes have to press it several times before you see the transform docker as something visible.
Using Alt-W as a shortcut for that shortcut is even worse, because sometimes it brings up the Window menu and sometimes it toggles the transform docker.
Adding a shortcut to the other size command seems not to do anything, though I'm not sure what that is intended to do anyway.
So corel x7 the shortcut not work as at corel x5.
