We're considering the purchase of new church banners, so I downloaded some images to show our church board. Each image had quite a bit of extraneous area on its right and left sides, so I used the crop tool in Draw X7 to pare them to this...
All looked well until I tried to print that page. No matter which printer driver I select (we have three active printers connected to our Win 8.1 Pro installation), the result - both on screen and in print - looks like this...
The problem areas correspond exactly to the areas removed by the crop tool.
There was a different crop tool/bitmap issue posted last month that had to do with cropped off areas showing up in wireframe views but not in normal or enhanced views. Possibly related?
Please crop some bitmaps and report whether the removed areas cause this kind of issue for you.
Many thanks.
EDIT: By the way, in wireframe view all of these bitmaps show up in their cropped size, not their original size.
Yes, the problem is similar to those others have reported in X7.1.
Temporarily, the easiest way to ensure a bitmap is "properly" cropped is to do edit > convert to bitmap on each bitmap after you crop it. Use the same resolution as the existing bitmap (or lower if it is unnecessarily high). This seems to permanently discard the area outside the crop, therefore ensuring it does not reappear during editing, export or printing.

The workaround you cite allows me to print the page correctly. Thank you for the prompt and helpful reply.
Use Shape tool to 'mask' the bitmap then Bitmap>Crop Bitmap.
Bill, could you please send me the original file for review (before the workaround of converting to bitmap)?
You can email it to me at sharon.potts@corel.com.
Thank you, Sharon

A file should be in your Inbox, Sharon. Thanks for your help.
Can I ask what printer you're using and is it postscript?

Hi, David,
Two of the printers are postscript (Epson 351c and Gestetner dsm415pf) and one is not (HP Color Laserjet 2600n).
FWIW, this morning I prepared a new file with freshly cropped bitmaps for Sharon Potts because I had deleted the objects in question from the previous file after receipt of harrylondon's workaround. The new file, on a freshly booted-up PC, created the same issue. I have emailed Sharon a sample file.
Thanks for the info
