I can't import EPS files. System crashes every time last few weeks. When first installed I didn't have problems - now won't import.
I have Ghost Script installed & just don't know what else to do. Welcome any help on this one.

Acrobat is for view and manage PDF, not for create it, but the program install a virtual printer (AcrobatPDF) that allows to create a PDF from any programs sending to "print to PDF". Anyway, it's not better for this reason, in other words, if the file is on RGB or has low resolution images, the PDF will be the same

That's a dumb advice that only demonstarte a big lack of knowledgment. Sorry, I always treat all people with respect, If he want to use Adobe, i will not try to rescue him from the dark side. But reccomend to use JPG instead PDF, it's not a good option. With a JPG you can't add trapping, overprint, etc. Most of the features are not available.
There's not a "CorelPDF" vs "AdobePDF". The PDF file format is only one, and CorelDRAW use a licence from Adobe. So, the PDF is the same, and teh result is the same. Not "almost the same", it's the same (I did several test alog the years, for example using Mac and PC with the same file), the only difference is the options you choose. For example, you should choose "bleed" (on all programs, CorelDRAW, Illustrator, InDesign, etc), if you don't add bleed the PDF doesn't add the bleed automatically (except if you save this option as default)
You're right, it makes Draw freeze.Didn't find any way around it.
I'll try to notify Corel.
FYI, I opened the file in Illustrator CS5 and saved as a PDF and AI. They both opened fine in Draw.Let me know if you want any of them.
One other thing you can try (if you don't have access to Adobe's program) is to download and install GSview.
GSview is a graphical interface for Ghostscript, and it lets you open the EPS files directly, without going via Draw.If GSview fails, I'd say they are not proper EPS files.
Haven't used it myself in the last years but as I remember it was working pretty well and I also think there was a way to save to PDF, which usually is better to bring into Draw.
