I have been using CorelDraw since 1989, I loaded CCRX4 and program works like normal, previews works fine.
But, CorelDraw X7 has no preview? Makes program almost useless....
I just upgraded from XP to Windows 7 64 bit, intel core i7. So, I wanted to upgrade CDR too.
Hello VBGrafx; As said above you need the Corel Shell in your Programs & Features as the screen shot below.

VBGrafx said:s this a common problem? Why hasn't CorelDraw fixed this in an update?
Yes, it's a common issue, but not about X7, it happens also on almost all previous versions, specially since v10, but only afew users has this problem. It's just a conflict with Windows, but it's not easy to provide a fix since it works fine for most users.
VBGrafx said:So, you think uninstalling CDRX7, then re-installing CDRX7?
No, uninstall / install / repair the program doesn't fix the problme, because it's on the Windows Registry.
VBGrafx said:Fix the shell extension? - How do I fix the Shell Extension?
As I said before: uninstall the Corel Shell Extension on Control Panel) and install again the Corel Shell Extension (under C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X7\Setup\CGS17 open ShellExt.msi)
Hello Again VBGrafx; If you are not up on Windfows it would be better to get the IT person or someone that is to do it for you. Its not that hard to do, but when you get into making adjustments in the computer it's best to know what's going on. Just tell them that you need to get the Corel Graphics Window Shell loaded. And it may be some help to them to read this post.
Ok VBGrafx; Get a Lot of beer and bring it and your computer on over and I'll take a wack at it for you. [^o)]
