I have been using CorelDraw since 1989, I loaded CCRX4 and program works like normal, previews works fine.
But, CorelDraw X7 has no preview? Makes program almost useless....
I just upgraded from XP to Windows 7 64 bit, intel core i7. So, I wanted to upgrade CDR too.
Hello Again VBGrafx; If you are not up on Windfows it would be better to get the IT person or someone that is to do it for you. Its not that hard to do, but when you get into making adjustments in the computer it's best to know what's going on. Just tell them that you need to get the Corel Graphics Window Shell loaded. And it may be some help to them to read this post.

Ok VBGrafx; Get a Lot of beer and bring it and your computer on over and I'll take a wack at it for you. [^o)]
VBGrafx said:I'm done with this, I just requested a return for product failure, with a full refund. This is ridiculous that I pay good money for a defective product. I don't care if Corel wants to blame it on Windows. Windows doesn't have to support CorelDraw...
I don't believe it's possible. If it was a failure of the program, it will don't work on any computer or at least don't work on most computers. But the thumbnails works on almost all computers, and it's not a specific problem with X7 version, it happens also on previous versions. So, from my personal point of view, there's no chance to return money for a legal way. btw I think you should talk with somebody at Corel after New year's holidays
Wow peoples needs certainly vary, until you post I never even looked for a preview, only a file name. Possibly because my work is well organized by client and job number but also because I never wanted my system resources wasted, in reality how do you preview 300" files with a little preview.

It's interesting and a PITA fact that just because you bought a Windows system it does not mean that you got a true Windows system. I support many different systems and users and some of the brand name systems load their own version of Windows and Microsoft and the end user would be better served if Microsoft would not allow that practice.
Yep XP and Windows 7 certainly very different coding, I'm running a Windows 8.1 home premium as well as a Windows 7 Home Premium and Windows 7 Pro all 64 bit and 9 I had to look as I don't use the feature) but the preview works on all of them.
What brand of computer?
