Corel 17.4.0.887 Keeps Crashing

For the last couple of weeks I have noticed Corel keeps crashing on me my version is 17.4.0.007. Is there a bug going on right now? I will be working and all of the sudden it gives me the Corel has stopped working window, then shuts down Corel.

Specific fonts may cause this to occur, however a fix has been recently released to address this problem.

An update is available from the Support, Patches and Updates page on corel.com, or from within CorelDRAW and Corel PHOTO-PAINT (Help menu, Updates). I recommend that you install this update first to see if it resolves the issue.

Some users have experienced issues opening files after installing the most recent update. We are currently investigating why this may be occurring, but if you experience further issues after installing the latest update, please send me a direct email (sharon.potts@corel.com).

There doesn't actually seem to be an update for said version 17.4.0.887. I have been getting these crashes a crazy amount...sometimes text, sometimes saving, sometimes resizing a bitmap with no text on the screen.

DRAW and Windows worth together to cache stuff to the hard disk....if you've been using the machine for a while there is a good chance that there is a lot of tmp files left then random things can start happening.

If you're getting random crashes, consider cleaning up the tmp files from your hard disk. Open a Windows Explorer window, right click on your hard disk that Windows is installed on and select Properties> Disk Cleanup....the machine will think for a few minutes and then present you a dialog where you can delete a bunch of old files. Select the [ ] Temporary Files and let it think for a while more.
