Differeces between X7 Home and regular Version?

Hi there,

while trying Win 10 Preview (coming from Win 7) I found that my beloved X3 cannot be installed anymore.

No wonder so far, it is rather old (though it still does what I Need)

So I checked Corel's Upgrade paths to find that I cannot upgrate from my full X3 to a new X7 anymore.... :-(
(Really bad, I am using Corel full Versions since Version 4..... this really sucks!)

So since I only use this product privately I don't like to spend that much of Money and wonder about a bit more Details regarding the differences to the home/student Version.

Unfortunately the Website is not very specific so maybe you can give me more Details here

1. it is only 32bit, right?

2. they say some file Formates are not supported. Is there anywhere a FULL list of the differences?

3. Is there a testversion for the Home Edition as well?

Regards

Stefan

  • Here is a little reading to get you started.

Not all formats are supported in H&S, DXF for one is not included in H&S. PDF export is included but it doesn't include all the settings that are in the full version. The small print preview is included but the full screen one that does imposition is not. Color management includes some default settings but does not include all the settings available in the full version. Many of the newer tools are not included in H&S as well, like the liquid tools, Font Playground, the new Insert Character docker.....

As far as I know there is not a trial version for H&S.
