I have been having this problem repeatedly lately. Started about 2 or 3 weeks ago. I am using the app fine, then go to move another object and I cannot do so. I can click to select, then move with the keyboard, but not mouse drag an object. This happens randomly for no particularly repeatable reason. Restarting the app fixes the problem. It happens 3 or 4 times a day. I have been using Corel for YEARS and I have never seen anything like this before. I have also seen the app crash lately when this happens, mentioning a "CoInitialize" error of some sort. That's pretty much all it says in the dialog box.

Thank you. At least I now realize that it is not happening due to my inability to handle Corel Draw. If you ever find out the reason behind, kindly let me know. It will be very helpful. Thanks again.

The actual error message is: "CoInitialize has not been called."

Hi, thanks for your concern. Every time I am restarting the computer, it is getting back to normal. This is not a solution so to say. But nobody has been able to help me. Don't know how to address this situation. When this happens while working, closing all and restarting the computer might be a solution but it is a complete waste of time.

might also check your macros and/or plug-ins. Sounds as if something is trying to run but errors out whereby leaving you locked up. This happens to me quite often when I'm running experiments with code. I have to shut corel down and delete temp files then relaunch and all is fine. I use a batch file specifically for this. At least I don't have to reboot the pc.
