How to adjust paragraph spacing

Hi

I have selected some paragraph text & gone to the docker & increased the spacing to 150%. however, there is no change to the selected text. Have I missed a stage?

    For Paragraph text, as long as the lines are in the same paragraph (no paragraph breaks (Enter) that is, only manual line breaks (Shift+Enter) or automatic line breaks), "Line spacing" works as expected within that paragraph.
    If you want to change the distance between paragraphs inside a text box, you have to use "Before paragraph spacing" and "After paragraph spacing".
    To be honest I'm not sure exactly the difference between the two, but I assume it depends on what comes before or after the selected paragraph.
