Save dates on documents in Corel x7

I create a document on say 18 Jan 2016 revisit the document on say 1 Feb 2016, When I save the document it shows as the creation date of 18 Jan 2016. If I resave the dumnt it shows the document date as 18 Jan 2016. This is very annoying as when yoyu want to go to the latest version or visit a file as per date it is unclear which was the latest date you were working on the document/project. Is there some magical setting involved here??

I suppose that you're talking about CorelDRAW files , then I have the question where do you read the date? if it's inside the program, it should be under File / document properties. If it's on Windows Explorer, remember that sometimes Windows will update the file data for the last time you access to this file. That means if you open a file today, Windows will change the last dat access to today. but if you read the file properties (right click / properties or Alt+enter) you should have the date of creation and the last access

And how much sense does this make? This is right out of X7 doc properties.How is the file created in the future but modified in the past? Appears to me as though the dates should be the other way around. This is a business card layout that was probably created in 2011 and they reordered so the file was accessed and/or modified in 2013.

I'd like to see the Doc properties actually keep the "date created" permanent. Maybe it gets updated after loading a new version of cd.
