Certain font's do not display below the baseline?

Hello,

I'm having issues with certain font's not displaying properly below the baseline. Image is below.

The first word is set to 'Artistic Text', second is 'Paragraph Text' and the third is when the font has been converted to curves.

The two fonts used are a paid font - Last Paradise and a free font - Wisdom Script.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to resolve this issue it would be greatly appreciated!

  • It is there:

But as it is a stylistic alternate, highlight the text, choose either the down arrow shown above, or choose the button in the text properties.

If the font author had also used the lookup in a stylistic set, one wouldn't need to actually highlight (select) at least one of the characters to get to the gsub table that is used in the font. So with a stylistic set, one could just select the artistic text "box" or the paragraph frame, then choose the stylistic set like this:

    And get this:

There are several ways to include OT features in a font. Not all work in any particular application exactly the same as in another, and the feature order pretty much dictates which feature takes precedence over other features. Even to the point they cannot be used at the same time.
