Cut, Copy, Paste of text not working

I guess it's a good thing that I haven't had to ask a question on here for a long time! However this is irritating enough that I need help and can't find it mentioned anywhere else on here.

As of 2 days ago, Corel isn't accepting pasted text. The Cut, Copy & Paste Icons are always grayed out. I can copy and paste text from a corel document to a corel document but not from online into a corel document or even from email into a corel draw document. If I go into 'customization' the proper shortcuts are mentioned in corel.

I tried a repair of Corel Draw - no change. I have done a 'recover' on my computer back to before this happened but it didn't help. I checked and no updates were done.

I did read that there were some issues if there were too may Object Styles or Color Styles but that's not the problem here.

I'm running the latest version of Fire Fox, Windows 7 and CDX7.

    Here's what Firefox has to say about it.....


    Sorry! Firefox 44 reduced the number of different formats placed on the clipboard, getting rid of some older ones that used non-Unicode character sets. Users have since reported that at least one old application (Word 97) cannot access any of the more modern formats on the clipboard and thinks the clipboard is empty.

    We had one previous report that CorelDRAW could no longer read text on the clipboard from Firefox, so I suspect you have the same situation: After updating i have problem with FireFox Clipboard. I don't know why CorelDRAW doesn't read the newer formats, but that's neither here nor there...

    Firefox 45 is scheduled to restore the missing formats, but that won't be out for a few weeks. Until then, the workaround continues to be pasting into an intermediate application, selecting the pasted content there, cutting, and then pasting into the old application. Unless someone comes up with something better in the meantime.
