Can it be true that this is not possible (or is it just me that can't figure out the right way?)?:
Page 1: Drawing a scale 1:100 of the building
Page 2: Drawing a detailed plan of one room in scale 1:20 without changing the scale of page 1
I know this can be accomplished if I turn of dynamic dimensions, but this is only convenient if I page 1 is entirely correct before I start page 2. Often you are working on a whole project switching between the pages and then you have to change scale settings every time...
What I am hoping to be possible to do, is to set different scales for each page without affecting the scale settings of other pages, just as it is possible to set different page sizes like this
I fight this battle daily, and I'd LOVE to know if this is possible too...?
Thanks!
If I can still read English and if the instructions were written properly the answer is no. Scale is a drawing level command.
For what purpose do you use the program?
CAUTION! TEST WITH NO OPEN DOCUMENTS FIRST. Sometimes messing with macros can make things go into a loop and go wonky. If this happens you'll have to do a task kill. Works for me in X7 though.
Click the + next to GlobalMacros, right click on ThisMacroStorage & choose edit. Could go into any "ThisMacroStorage" but this location will be easier to remember. Paste the code as seen below there. Leave the Macro Editor but test first before saving.
If you have only one page your scale will be set to 1:1
If page is > than 1 then Page 1 will automatically be 1:20 and page 2 will change to 1:100
I personally don't have use for it but might come in handy for some. Could be customized by name of pages and such.
