When I hover my mouse over the 'Smart Drawing Tool', it says, "Smart fill Tool (S)" - but there is no fly out, and no black arrow to indicate additional tools. Nor does the key command 'S' do anything.
Further, there seems to be no icon or listing for the 'Smart fill Tool' in tool box 'Options'.
I right clicked 'Smart Drawing Tool' icon>customize>restore default .- No results.
Where is the 'Smart fill Tool''?!
- If there is no 'Smart fill Tool' in CorelDraw version 12, can someone please explain to me the simplest way to identify and color an object made by two overlapping objects?
Please see attachments.
Thank you.

Select both objects, choose "intersect" on the Property bar, then change color of the new object
I can confirm there is no Smart Fill tool in v12. In my version hovering over the Smart Drawing Tool shows the correct tooltip. Something on your system is messed up, Smart Fill wasn't introduced until X4 IIRC
Thanks, Ariel. Getting Corel error message;
"! Nothing was changed. Objects must overlap each other to be successfully intersected.'
- Do the objects above appear to be overlapping to you?
...Dumbfounded.
Wait... so 'CorelDraw12' is 'earlier'' than versions 4, 6, 7, etc., that I have been seeing all of the neat, 'Smart fill Tool' clips on Youtube?
- Ay caramba....
Maybe you confuse the number, since X4 means 14.0 (the X means 10 in roman numbers). Then, X4 was the version 14th, X5 was 15, etc, until version 2017 that was version 19.0.
CorelDRAW 4 was launched on 1993, CorelDRAW X4 on 2008
