Hello,
I create SVG cutting files for use with Silhouette, Cricut etc. I have had a few customers complain the the file size is huge when trying to open up in Cricut design space. I export it at only 4 inches or so, but some say it's as big as over 100 inches. and crashes the program.
Any ideas on why this happens and how to fix?
Can you post an example of an SVG file that shows the problem, as it's hard to say without something to diagnose.
I tried uploading a couple of different SVGs but looks like it won't let me. But it's not specific to one SVG it seems like most of them I export, my customers seem to have issues with it opening up very large (some even over 100 inches) And this seems to be with the Cricut software only. I have customers who use Silhouette software and it opens up with correct size. It has to be a Corel export issue because I have not heard of this issue with Illustrator.
Hmm, I can't believe this forum doesn't allow SVG file uploads. Could you stick one in a ZIP. It seems to allow that.

I'd like to see something that clearly states:
Video is often a great way to show something, but getting one short enough to be acceptable to the forum software is a challenge.
I could host the video somewhere else, but that's a great way to have a thread refer to content that might not exist at the specified location in the future.
