I have a file that consists of various fountain Fills. When I publish to pdf and choose prepress preset or any other preset only one of the fountain fills is retained imported back to cd for verification. The other Fountain Fills are made up of a thousand shapes all of different "stepped colors" to make up the fountain fill.
Hi, Myron! What Acrobat compatibility are you using?

this sounds like a compatibility with old Acrobat versions (such as Acrobat 4.0/5.0 or PDF X/3), since it splits a gradient into multiple individual shapes. Using compatibility with Acrobat 8.0 or higher shouldn't produce it.

That sounds strange... are you using CorelDRAW for verification of PDF files?
Have you checked the PDF using Acrobat?
I tried several Acrobat versions.
As far as I know Acrobat doesn't allow for a wireframe view so checking it there would be of no help. I believe this was a known issue in X7 has been fixed. I'm still using build 17.5.0.907
Myron, can you attach a file sample (cdr and pdf) for test?

Ok, I catch it, you're right. I'll test it later.
Try to import this file:
Went ahead and install both patches (6 & 6.1) Did not make a difference. Only thing that has worked so far is to set the node positions of the fountain fills to 50% then publish to pdf
Can you also upload a PDF without the node position fix?
Link to pdf
Thanks, Myron.
I might reinstall X7 to test your file. All I currently do know is that with version 2017 it exports as intended with stops wherever (and on your uploaded file as well). I cannot recall this being an issue with X7.
