Hi,
is it possible to clone PowerClip object?
I would like to create 4x8 objects matrix on A4 page (round stickers template for printing), where I would just place new JPEG inside master object, and it would repliacate to the rest 23 clones. So all clones would retain their exact position to be perfect fit for printing.
But when I do this:
- create empty (aka MASTER) PowerClip container
- create CLONES of this empty object
- insert image Place indie PowerClip container
- the clones do NOT replicate the new content of the master
Why? Any idea where I am doing mistake?
Instead of clones try to use SYMBOL
Hmmm...I tried, but either it is not possible, or I do not have knowledge.
What I am trying to achieve is to have one MASTER rectangle/object/empty-space in position 1, and then 23 copies of this object in a matrix over A4 page. Whatever JPEG image I would drop into master object, it would get replicated across the 23 copies over the page, so I do not need to copy/paste every new JPEG over and over again.
Why not just copy/paste or duplicate to a matrix of guidelines?Because it is template for printing pre-cut stickers and each of 24 objects must be exacty dead acurate on it's own position, which is fe 1/10 of millimeter offset off the grid position, just a bit to tightly fit to the precut stickers and to compensate for our copier tiny mistakes.

creatre symbol from powerclip
duplicate and place symbol as required
