Is there a way for non corel users to see .cdr thumbnails?

Sometimes we designers have working cdr files but may not have made a file for proofing i.e.png for the sales staff to email out to clients.

Our sales staff who don't have a copy of CD on their pc often refer to the "ToEmail" folder for quick reference of past orders. That's where the png/pfd proofs reside but If there wasn't a file made they can't provide a quick reference to customers. Would be nice if they could at least see the thumbnails in the CorelDRAW folder and use windows snip to capture it.

We could make it a mandatory step from now on to create a png but for the thousands of files we've already done over the years would take a crazy amount of time.

Any suggestions?

  • You could have them try a free windows explorer plugin called SageThumbs I found on Source Forge.

Or this may not be exactly what you're looking for but it might be useful? cdrviewer.org

    Good luck!

  • they could install a trial version of CorelDRAW, after some days it becomes a CDR viewer, that allows to see thumbnails but also allows to open the file itself (although they can't save or print, but a teast they could capture a bigger and better image)
