Is there a setting I might have set incorrectly to cause this challenge? This effect has only been happening since Windows did it's last update. Could there be any connection?

a lot of factors to consider.
Does it show in wireframe?
How close are you zoomed in at the time of the move?
What is your nudge set at?
After making a move does it list anything in the status bar?
