Whether I open Corel Font manager or CorelDRAW X8 I get a message saying Corel Font Service X8 has stopped working. When I click "Close program" it appears again, this then goes on and on in a loop.
It's not once in a while, it's EVERY time I open either program. I know that there is a known issue with the program but I just wanted to chime in saying that I'm having that issue too.
When I click on the drop down list within CorelDRAW only 10 fonts appear in the drop down list at once. However, I have about 1800 fonts installed. The problem seemed to arise when I tried adding my primary fonts folder which has several thousands of fonts to Font Manager. I've added these fonts to Bitstream in the past without issue. While in the process of adding that font folder, it got to about 50% processed and started to crash. It's at the point now that I can not open CorelDRAW or font manager without the above mentioned error. When I try to click on the drop down list within DRAW it immediately starts the error above and repeats as mentioned when I try to close it.
Just a side note, I'm running a 64-bit version of Windows 10 Professional.

try this: go to your install folder (such as C:\Program Files\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X8\FontDatabase) and move the folder inside (V1) to another place (such as the desktop), then start the program
Hello Ariel, Thank you for the suggestion! I've moved the folder as you've suggested and now I'm trying to add my fonts folder again to see if I get better results. It is likely that it will take a fair amount of time to complete analyzing all the fonts but I will keep an eye on it and post the results once it's complete. However, so far so good! :)
It's only part way through adding and analyzing the fonts I have added and the problem is back. I'm going to let it complete adding all the fonts and see if it makes a difference once all the fonts have been added and analyzed after all it's not the program itself that is crashing but rather the "Corel Font Service X8 (64-bit) has stopped working"

This means that you have 1 or more fonts that cause FontService to crash. The only case we knew about was "Cochin" and only on Windows 7.
I'd be helpful for us to discover which one cause the issue.
If you are available for a remote assistance session, I'd gladly help you out with this.
